GENERAL

As a long-standing and principled Company, we place great importance on our responsibilities to all our key stakeholders, whether shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers or the communities in which we operate. The Group has a network of policies and strategies through which we seek to ensure that our values form part of the culture of each of our operations wherever they are in the world. 

THE ENVIROMENT

The group also has in place policies which require all subsidiary companies to make continuing efforts to achieve the following objectives to:

  • monitor and record energy and water consumption;
  • reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and utilise energy from sustainable sources where practicable;
  • examine ways of reducing water consumption;
  • promote energy awareness amongst employees and contractors;
  • identity and implement energy saving measures and practice energy efficiency throughout all Group premises, plant and equipment;
  • incorporate environmentally sensitive designs into both new and refurbished buildings;
  • target a reduction in energy consumption in line with Government goals;
  • cutting carbon dioxide emissions linked to the threat of climate change; and
  • conduct good energy practices wherever the Group conducts its business.

Hampson also sets clear ethical standards for all employees by way of the Group’s Ethics Policy and the Group’s UK Bribery and US Foreign Corrupt Practices Policies which covers inter alia compliance with the laws of the countries in which the Group operates, employment, discrimination, harassment, fair dealing with customers and suppliers, bribery, gifts and entertainment and conflicts of interest.
