Hampson’s Aerospace Fabrications & Assemblies division operates from six plants on two continents.
Products include a broad range of major airframe structures, sub-structures, assemblies and detail parts including wing leading edges, empennages, cargo doors, fuselage sections, cockpit and undercarriage doors and a full range of flying control surfaces.
Process capabilities include a full array of metal forming, treatment and test facilities to offer a central “one-stop” service for airframe structural component fabrication. Hampson operates some of the largest stretch-forming and chemical milling facilities in the European aerospace supply chain.
Substantial recent investment includes a dedicated high-speed machining cell with eight state-of-the-art CNC centres from Mazak and Unisign, as well as the latest fluid forming technology capable of pressing detailed parts to final form in a matter of seconds.
Through its Attewell, Bolsan, Lamsco West and Pillar Seals &Gaskets businesses, Hampson is a global leader in solid and laminated peelable shims, fillers, packers, spacers and other ‘C’ class parts used primarily in airframe construction. These can be engineered and produced in a variety of shapes and sizes from a range of materials that includes polyimide, carbon-graphite and other exotics.
